Business Development/Client Relations

Choice One Engineering

So, what will this person be doing?
The role of this person includes (with the help and support of civil engineers, surveyors, and landscape architects—we promise that’s more fun than it sounds):
• Building and developing relationships.
• A brand ambassador, by being excited to share who we are and how we do what we do.
• Assist our clients in determining whether our value will achieve our clients’ objectives.
• Identifying potential clients who may appreciate our value.
• Create and execute strategies for connecting with potential clients.
• Keep in contact with existing and potential clients regarding possible projects and opportunities while developing and maintaining relationships.
• This person will not be working on commission, but rather will be working with our team of engineers, surveyors, landscape architects, and lead generation staff to achieve company objectives.

And day-to-day that looks like…
• Traveling throughout the region, keeping company visible to clients with calls and visits to remind clients of our personal touch and concern for their lives/situations/interests. This might include emails, phone conversations, scheduled meetings, visits, lunches, etc.
• Developing and executing a business development plan that could include goals and objectives for self and company.
• Attending and/or presenting at council meetings, board meetings, tradeshows, networking events, etc. This may include the need for flexibility during evenings or short overnight stays within Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southeastern Indiana.
• Collaborating/meeting with internal business development team on upcoming opportunities, strategies, potential clients/projects, etc.
• Recording/tracking client information and relationships developments to share with the Choice One team.
• Helping clients and coworkers develop public and private infrastructure projects including roadways, traffic, utilities, site design, stormwater management, land development, etc.
