Job Description: Inside Sales Representative
Position Type: Full-Time/Regular
Requarth Lumber Co. is searching for an Inside Sales Representative. This is an excellent opportunity for you to develop a great career in sales with an industry leader and Dayton institution! As an Inside Sales Representative you are responsible for:
- Actively engaging in selling and providing material quotes and estimates for company products and services to home builders, remodelers, general contractors, and other professional and retail customers.
- Providing customer service via walk-in, telephone or email, including assisting with customer inquiries on product selection, pricing, availability, and refunds and exchanges.
- Providing support, including material estimates and quotes, for Outside Contractor Sales Representatives and our Installed Sales and Services division.
- Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of company products, procedures and practices.
Desired competencies include:
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of basic sales techniques, concepts and the ability to influence and persuade
- Knowledge of company and competitors’ products
- Knowledge of company product pricing, discount and estimating formulas and guidelines
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong detail orientation and organizational skills
