New Home Permits Continue Regional Pace through November
Up 22.5% in Dayton region
New single-family home permits in Dayton region continued their uptick through November, reported the Home Builders Association of Dayton (OH). Overall, permits increased 22.5% in all five Dayton region counties through November. The increase year over year (YoY) is up 4.0% for single-family units.
A total of 2,234 single-family permits were issued through November of last year, compared to 2,126 in 2020, representing an 6.2% increase for the year.
“Buyers continue to flood the market, and builders are working hard to meet the demand," said Eric Farrell, C.E.O., Home Builders Association of Dayton. “We are confident that this momentum will continue at least throughout the first half of 2021 - provided supply chain disruptions are minimal, supply costs remain flat, and government continues to work with builders and developers to promote responsible development."
