Erika Deady Named 2021 HBA President

(Dayton, OH) -- Erika Deady has been named the 2021 President of the Home Builders Association of Dayton (HBA). Deady, a fourth-generation builder, is the Sales Coordinator for Oberer Homes, based in Miamisburg, specializing in developing residential projects. She was officially installed during a virtual HBA Board of Directors meeting in December. Leading the HBA of Dayton is in Deady’s blood. Her father, George Oberer, Jr. was the President of the HBA of Dayton in 1990 and her uncle, Michael Oberer served as local President in 2000.

Oberer Homes is one of the preeminent home builders in Dayton, the Miami Valley, and surrounding areas. They have been creating communities (with character) in Dayton and Surrounding Areas since 1949. Deady, a resident of Bellbrook, earned her degree in Marketing and Management from the University of Kentucky and received her real estate license in 2017.

Her involvement with the HBA has been extensive. In addition to serving on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, she has been actively involved in membership recruitment, Homearama, and each integral facet of Committee work for the HBA. Deady and Oberer Homes have represented in each of the HBA’s Homearama® Touring Edition for the past several years, as well as the recent Parade of Homes, which featured in-person and virtual home tours. She also serves as a delegate for both the Ohio and National Association of Home Builders.

Other 2021 HBA officers include Brian Albrecht (Albrecht Wood Interiors & Rhoads Estates), Vice President; Gregory Page (Gregory S Page Co., LPA), Secretary; Richard Graf (Hammerman, Graf, Hughes & Co., Inc.), Treasurer; and Robi Simms (Charles Simms Development), Immediate Past President.

The HBA, established in 1942, represents the residential housing industry throughout an 5-county region in Southwest Ohio (Darke, Greene, Montgomery, Preble, and Warren). Member companies include builders, remodelers, developers, subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers. Additionally, new home construction accounts for a substantial of the Dayton region’s economic development. For every 100 new single-family homes, the industry helps to create 297 jobs, drives $28 million in business and wage revenue, and generates $11.1 million in local, state, and federal taxes.
